 SILVERSTONE, JUNE 21 2009 – Patrick Huisman enjoyed a successful showing in Silverstone this weekend, during the sixth round of the Mobil 1 Porsche Super Cup. The SPS Performance driver started the weekend on British soil strongly with fourth position in free practice and qualified on the fourth starting row (P7) for Sunday’s 14 lap race. After having survived a troubled start, the Dutch ace soon recovered and benefitted from two drivers being penalized with a drive through penalty. After having tangled around with Matt Halliday halfway the race, the four times champion chased James Sutton to the finish line and eventually finished in fourth position. But with Sutton as a guest driver not taking any points, Huisman netted 16 points to boost his 2009 title ambitions. In the championship standings, Huisman is currently in third position (77 points) and trails second placed Richard Westbrook, who didn’t started this weekend, by only one point.  ISTANBUL, JUNE 07 2009 – After a promising start of already the fifth round of the 2009 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Istanbul this Friday, Huisman experienced difficulties in both Saturday’s qualifying session and Sunday’s 28 minute race.  MONACO, MAY 24 2009 – Patrick Huisman added eight valuable championship points to his taly by finishing the fourth round of the 2009 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season in Monaco in ninth position. After having experienced set-up trouble all weekend and suffering from a setback to his race preparations after a crash on Friday, Huisman only qualified in 12th position.
