Patrick sparkles in Spa, but goes home empty-handed..
SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, AUGUST 30 2010 – Patrick Huisman once again showed to be a dark horse in this season’s Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup championship, as he was among the fastest drivers in the rain-affected free practice and qualifying session. In Sunday’s ninth round of the season, the Konrad Motorsport driver seemed to be on his way for another promising finishing result, before he got hit by Sebastiaan Bleekemolen in an attempt to overtake his fellow countryman for sixth position. After having his car repaired, the former multiple champion finished the race down in 24th position.
FREE PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING
With the non-existence of a Dutch Formula One Grand Prix, the Belgium round of the Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup sort of substitutes for a ‘home race’ for Patrick Huisman. Patrick hangs on in Hockenheim despite curious course
HOCKENHEIM, JULY 26 2010 – By finishing Sunday’s seventh round of the Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup race at Hockenheim down in tenth position, Patrick Huisman (NED) left the German Grand Prix circuit with mixed feelings. By scoring eight points, the Konrad Motorsport driver is still a strong contender for the top spots in the championship, but lamented the lack-lustre behavior of the stewards of the meeting this weekend which costed him dearly.
SILVERSTONE, JULY 11 2010 – Patrick Huisman has scored his second podium finish of the 2010 Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup at Silverstone this weekend.
